Opening excercise

With idea of incorporating links between this blog and my two classroom blogs I am moving forward. I am learning many interesting and exciting information. I have begun to instill a pride in the use of the blog and classroom activities. I am hoping to get more classroom participation but unfortunately students are not as excitied as I am. I think once I get them motivated it will become a excellent tool.

Motivation is a beautiful thing...
You are right! Once you motivate your students they will begin to use this tool more, and in turn, you will see its affects on achievement! My elementary teachers and students are loving blogging! They can't get enough! The hardest part seems to be making them understand the importance of keeping personal information, private!

What site are you using to BLOG? The closest thing I have is a Blackboard Discussion group on my school server. So many of my students visit My Space outside of school. But they don't want to communicate in the class. I think a BLOG would be a good forum for focused (and unfocused) discussions.

I'm going to require every student to comment on questions i post and to read others blog comments on activities we do in class from now until the end of year.
